Nat's Journey
My name is Natalie, but I'm really a Nat. If you were to ask my closest friends and family to describe me it would sound like this; "She is a ball of energy filled with unique, and eclectic talents and abilities." Very open to interpretation!
My own healing journey began in 2012. I was diagnosed with mononucleosis. After 3 years of not being able to heal due to living in mold, I found 3 very important tools. I found an amazing doctor who thought differently about health and healing. I began seeing an acupuncturist who helped me search within myself to create abundance in my thoughts and beliefs, nutrition and energy. Thirdly, I met a beautiful soul who practiced Reiki. This was the door that fully opened my wellness path. And this is how I arrived here at this moment with you!
My Studies
I began my journey when I became ill in 2012. In the beginning it was reading that shifted my thoughts of what my life could be. I first began reading recommended books such as "The Emotion Code" and "Spontaneous Healing". So I began with a focus on Immune Healing. I then became very intrigued with Energy. I found a book on my bookshelf titled "Energy Medicine". (It's funny how Spirit knows things even a decade before we do.) So I realized I had purchased this book almost 10 years prior but never looked at it. This is when I was introduced to Acupuncture. This is when energy started coming to life. This is also when I noticed God was putting specific healers into my life. Acupuncture lead me to Reiki. I began with a book, of course! My first book was titled "The Holy Spirit and The Spirit of Reiki". Afterwards, I attended my first Reiki session. Wow! It was magical. And again, the energy was unexplainable, but Kathy, my Reiki practitioner, was my blessing with perfect timing. From there my journey continued to flow like lava. I read books on Yoga and immersed myself in it. This lead to opening up my eyes to different religions and the similarities they shared. I read books beginning with Esoteric versus Exoteric beliefs and religions. I then fell into the The Five Elements and Health, Chinese Medicine, and Fung Shui. I journeyed to many other concepts such as The Medicine Wheel, Spirit Animals and Nature Talks, Color Healing, Sound Healing, Meditations and Mantras, etc....As I became fascinated about learning I then began my own path of learning Reiki and how I could become a conduit for energy and healing for myself and others.
My Reiki path began in December 2016. I took my first 2 courses, level 1 and level 2 Usui Reiki. Life was changing very quickly for me. Not only was I investing most of my time reading and healing myself, but I was now investing and wanting to help to heal others. The people I was placed around were amazing people. I began to notice I was more flexible minded and I remembered how beautiful and magical the world was. I was falling in love with everything, but especially myself. I began practicing on myself and my cats. They loved Reiki! I was being lead by the universe to meet new people and see new things. I was very curious about all the healing modes around me. I connected with an amazing Mystic. She introduced me to the concept of a "Lightworker" and that I was one. I was blown away! All these things I had sensed, I didn't know what it was, but I felt like a complete and total weirdo, but now I knew exactly what I was. I was fascinated. I continued to meet new people who did Sound Healing, Chiropractic/Muscle Testing and Energy Release Techniques, Hypnotherapy, Psychic Mediumship, Angel Communication, Astrology and the list goes on! In the summer of 2017 I enrolled in a Reiki level III Art class. I felt as though I was always at the perfect spot with divine timing. Since I myself am a teacher, I wanted to learn different methods and techniques so I repeated Reiki level 1 and level 2. I then completed the Reiki Master Teacher level. I currently am now certified with Kundalini Reiki levels 1,2,3, Master Teacher and Karuna Reiki 1 , 2 and Master level. I have completed Serge Kahili King’s Urban Shaman training course of Huna which includes the Kahi Loha 7 Touch Energy Method.
As the journey continued I completed The Basics of Sound workshop with Darcy Lucero, an energetic practitioner with a plentitude of gifts and skills including sound replenishment therapy, reiki, and massage therapy. I completed beginning and intermediate Astrology and the science of the stars with Anne Reith. I also journeyed into the world of i Ching, an ancient Chinese divination to provide guidance for decision making of any and all questions regarding the present.
In January 2020 I completing my Herbalist Certificate with Herb Stop in Pine Arizona, and both the 200 hour and 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program @ Be The Change Yoga Wellness in Irvine. I am an internationally certified Yoga Therapist and completed my 600 hour Ayurvedic Counselor program to support yoga therapy. I specialize in SRY (supreme release yoga) also known as spinal release yoga. This is a beautiful teaching from the Tantric lineage. As my teacher Kaya would say “as most yoga styles are focused on the outer, physical shapes of a pose, SRY is about going deeply inward.” Yoga is best served with a teacher as a guide. I continue to immerse myself in the teachings and scriptures of yoga with my teacher to honor yoga’s culture and people.
I am a life long learner. I will continue to follow the path that Divine Source guides me towards. Yoga is so immense in wisdom and teachings and it is exciting when new paths reveal themselves to be traveled down. Some future travels I look forward to explore are Vastu, Hasta and Jyotisha, the science of light! I will continue to seek out and surround myself with beautiful, loving and powerful teachers and healers! The journey continues!
